Whether you’re planning a wedding, corporate event, or private celebration, I know you might have lots of questions about live guest illustration, event entertainment, and luxury keepsakes. This FAQ page answers the most common queries about how I work, my services, travel, packages, and more.

I offer live illustration services across Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban, and throughout South Africa, providing interactive, luxury entertainment that your guests will remember for years.   • Live event illustration is a form of interactive entertainment where I create personalised watercolour portraits of your guests in real time. It’s perfect for weddings, corporate events, product launches, and private celebrations, offering a luxury experience and keepsake that your guests will treasure.

  • I travel across South Africa, including Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, and Durban. Travel within 30 km of Johannesburg is included in the price; for further destinations, I provide a personalised travel quote covering flights or accommodations.

  • This depends on the package you select. Quick packages cover up to 15 guests, standard packages cover up to 30, and full-day packages can capture up to 60 guests. I paint approximately one guest every 7 minutes, depending on outfit complexity.

  • I typically arrive one hour before guests, and setup takes about 15 minutes. I bring a portable easel, lighting, and all necessary materials. I can work indoors or outdoors, provided the environment is comfortable and safe.

  • For outdoor events, I always have a plan B. I can move my setup quickly indoors or adjust lighting as needed. Extreme heat or wet conditions are considered, and I only work in a safe, comfortable environment to ensure a professional experience.

  • I use premium watercolour paper, professional watercolour paints, fine-liner pens, pencils, and waterproof inks. Each portrait is an original piece of art, personalised and ready to be taken home by your guests.

  • Yes! For corporate events, I can include company branding, colour schemes, or VIP prioritisation. For weddings, I can add pets, family members, or custom themes, all upon instruction from the couple or event host. Please note these maybe subject to a charge.

  • Once you enquire, I provide a personalised package and quote. A 50% non-refundable deposit secures your date, and the remainder is due one month before the event along with a final consultation to confirm timings and details.

  • Guests receive A4 watercolour portraits in protective sleeves. Optional digital copies or compilation guestbooks can also be created for events or weddings.
